Project Title: "Parental Problem Drinking and College Student Mental Health: The Roles of Family Chaos and Cohesion"

How will this summer research fellowship support your research efforts?

“I have always found myself interested in research, especially related to psychology; with this summer research fellowship, I am not only allowed to expand my research knowledge, but also further explore the possible relationship between parental problem drinking and mental health of college students. "

Why is research important?

“While research is important for many reasons, the one reason, which has always stood out to me, is the fact that research allows for growth, growth of knowledge and growth of our society. "

What advice would you give to other UK students thinking about doing research?

“Take any opportunity to engage in research that you come across. Growing your own knowledge when it comes to research will truly enhance your educational experience here at UK and open up many more doors of possibility past graduation."
