I enjoy research because.... "it allows me, as a undergraduate, to dive deeper into my prospective field of medicine!"

How did you first get interested in undergraduate research at UK?

"I was in an AMSA meeting where they were talking about how important undergraduate research is for medical school acceptance. So, I went to the CHS undergraduate research page and looked at all of the available opportunities! The research that I am working on now is so amazing and interesting!"

How long have you been engaged in undergraduate research?

"Since summer of 2020"

What has been the most exciting aspect of your research so far?

"I would say getting the opportunity to interact with Bone Marrow Transplant Patients!"

What advice would you give to other UK students thinking about doing research?

"To start sooner than later!! Research is often times hard and time consuming, but it is so rewarding!"
