Sustainability Showcase + Poster Competition

The UK Sustainability Showcase will be held on October 15, 2025 at 5:30 pm in UK's Healthy Kentucky Research Building (HKRB) Atrium. The People's Choice Awards will be voted on during the Showcase event and announced at the awards ceremony, as well. Students will have the opportunity to present their posters during the UK Sustainability Showcase. This event is open to the public.

OUR Open House

Call for Submissions: Oswald Research + Creativity Competition

The Oswald Research and Creativity Competition aims to promote research and creativity across all fields of study. The competition accepts reports of all forms of creativity and scholarship by undergraduate students. This includes, but is not limited to, artistic and musical creations; creative writing and poetry; and reports of studies and research in the humanities, the social, natural, and medical sciences, agriculture, business, architecture, and engineering. 7 Categories --- 2 Winners per Category --- 14 Student Winners!!

Research + Creative Experience Expo

The Undergraduate Research + Creative Experience Expo will introduce undergraduate scholars to the diversity of research conducted at UK, allow students to network with research faculty and staff, and learn about mentored research opportunities. The Office of Undergraduate Research's Funding Fridays are a monthly workshop for undergraduate researchers applying for OUR funding (fellowships, grants, etc).  This is a drop-in and work session space for students to get information about applying for opportunities.   The first Friday of each month from 12:00-1:00 pm via Zoom. September 5, October 3, November 7, and December 5.

1 Slide. 5 Minutes. Outstanding research! The 5-Minute Fast Track is an academic research competition that cultivates students’ presentation and research communication skills and challenges them to describe their research within five minutes.
