Who will advance to the finals? The Office of Undergraduate Research will host its 6th annual 5-Minute Fast Track Research Presentation Competition this fall. The 5-Minute Fast Track is an academic competition that cultivates students’ presentation and research communication skills, and challenges them to describe their research within five minutes.

Sustainability Showcase + Poster Competition

The UK Sustainability Showcase will be held on October 14, 2026 at 5:30 pm in UK's Healthy Kentucky Research Building (HKRB) Atrium. The People's Choice Awards will be voted on during the Showcase event and announced at the awards ceremony, as well. Students will have the opportunity to present their posters during the UK Sustainability Showcase. This event is open to the public. Free parking available in the HKRB lot.

48 UK undergrads to present at national research conference

LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 5, 2026) — Forty-eight University of Kentucky students will present their research at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) on April 13-15 in Richmond, Virginia. NCUR is one of the largest events in the United States for undergraduate students to share their academic work with peers, faculty and professionals.

4 UK undergraduates to present at Posters-at-the-Capitol

Four University of Kentucky undergraduate researchers will present their work at the 24th annual Posters-at-the-Capitol on March 5.

The 20th annual Showcase of Undergraduate Scholars is a moment when we step back from our academic routines to celebrate the accomplishments of our students and encourage them along the path of intellectual achievement, as well as celebrate the inspiration and creativity of our young scholars and the dedication of their mentors.

Call for Abstracts: Posters-at-the-Capitol

Posters-at-the-Capitol (P@C) is a one-day, annual event held to educate Kentucky State Legislators of the importance of its undergraduate research and scholarly work. Student discoveries impact many issues that affect our economy, both stateside and globally.   Posters-at-the-Capitol requires abstracts to be no more than 300 words. OUR, UK Sustainability announce winners of research poster competition

The University of Kentucky Office of Undergraduate Research and UK Sustainability are honored to announce the six winners of the fifth annual sustainability research poster competition. The competition was held in conjunction with the annual UK Sustainability Showcase in the atrium of the Healthy Kentucky Research Building on Oct. 15.

Ten students selected as 5-Minute Fast Track finalists

The UK Office of Undergraduate Research announces the 8th annual 5-Minute Fast Track student research competition finalists. These undergraduates will present their research during the final round on Oct. 29, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in 150 Healthy Kentucky Research Building.
