"I was introduced to my research specialty, membrane science, by a lifelong friend who is completing his PhD in membrane science at UK."

How long have you been engaged in undergraduate research?

"I have been conducting research in Dr. Bhattacharyya's lab for almost two years. "

What has been the most exciting aspect of your research so far?

"The most exciting aspect of research thus far has been seeing the laboratory work and experiments I do translate into finished products like manuscript submissions and patent applications."

What advice would you give to other UK students thinking about doing research?

"The University of Kentucky has research opportunities for any possible interest. Getting involved in research lets you pursue passions, learn from field experts, and make valuable connections with figureheads in your field of interest."
