I enjoy research because.... "I want to better the field of clinical psychology. I want to see my research help those in need."
How did you first get interested in undergraduate research at UK?
"I have always been passionate about helping others. Research is the best way to connect with the population you want to help!"
How long have you been engaged in undergraduate research?
"I am currently a research assistant in Dr. Shannon Sauer-Zavala’s research lab. This has been my first semester in a lab, and I really enjoy it!"
What has been the most exciting aspect of your research so far?
"In my lab at UK, I have loved making connection with everyone working in my lab. I love exchanging ideas with our team of graduate students, research assistants, and faculty!"
What advice would you give to other UK students thinking about doing research?
"Getting involved in research may sound intimidating, but you need to do it! It is the best experience because not only are you learning more about your field through research, you are also making meaningful connections with the talented faculty at UK. They serve as great mentors."
