Project Title: "Reuse Room: Making Design Education More Sustainable and Equitable"
How will this summer research fellowship support your research efforts?
“Summer research is a valuable tool for me because my career goals involve research directly. I want to be a professor here at the University of Kentucky and would like to further my research into sustainability and the design community as a whole. This will help me to continue my research and expand into new projects. It would also help to connect me to new opportunities and get more people involved with research. It would also help to connect me with other passionate university researchers which I could share with."
Why is research important?
“It is important in helping students realize what they can do and the impact of both the school and wider world they can have."
What advice would you give to other UK students thinking about doing research?
“Go for it! I can’t hurt to try and I know for a lot of people it’s the highlight of their college career."
