Angela Sanchez Plants New Roots for Family with UK Degree

LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 4, 2022) — In February 2018, Angela Sanchez took her eldest son, Cyrus, on a tour of the University of Kentucky. “They give the best tours,” she says with a big knowing smile. That tour sparked curiosity and self-reflection, prompting Sanchez to think about herself for the first time in a long time. Being recently divorced, Sanchez needed to re-enter the workforce after more than 15 years but was apprehensive about explaining the gaps in her resume.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 22, 2022) — University of Kentucky students, faculty and staff are gearing up for the 16th annual Showcase of Undergraduate Scholars. The event will take place from 1-5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, in the Gatton Student Center Grand Ballroom, featuring over 325 students and 250 presentations representing 64 disciplines and 16 colleges.
