2 outstanding undergraduates selected for UK’s Beckman Scholars SUCCESS Program

2022 Oswald Research and Creativity Competition winners announced

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 12, 2023) — The University of Kentucky Office of Undergraduate Research recently announced the 21 undergraduate winners of the 58th annual Oswald Research and Creativity awards. Chad Risko, faculty director of the Office of Undergraduate Research, and Research Ambassadors were on hand to congratulate the winners and distribute the awards.

UK students earn top rankings for scientific research presentations

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Dec. 23, 2022) — Six University of Kentucky students ranked among the top scorers for research presentations given at the Kentucky Academy of Science’s 2022 Annual Meeting in November. More than 700 students and professional scientists from across the state attended the annual meeting, which was held Nov. 10-12, at Morehead State University. Panels of scientists who judged students’ research presentations designated top-tier presentations as “Thoroughbreds.” 

College of Education research team explores nation’s K-12 teacher needs

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 30, 2022) — A new study designed at the University of Kentucky College of Education is gauging the types of supports teachers across the nation need in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic’s impact on schools. It is supported by a Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) grant from the National Science Foundation.
