How did you first get interested in undergraduate research at UK?

"My History 301 class inspired me to look into opportunities for primary source qualitative research at UK. I applied for the SCRC learning lab and was thrilled to be accepted!"

How long have you been engaged in undergraduate research?

"I have been engaged in undergraduate research since this past August."

What has been the most exciting aspect of your research so far?

"The most exciting part of my research, which deals with correspondence from Korean War Serviceman from Western Kentucky, was traveling to Greenville to research there, and being able to experience the excitement of the local history librarians when discussing my research with them."

What advice would you give to other UK students thinking about doing research?

"Research is a rewarding experience - academically and personally - and you can find opportunities to research even if you are in the humanities!"
