I enjoy research because.... "I love seeing the intersections between the data from the education research I'm doing and my observations for my education courses, because I get to see some of that data in real life."

How did you first get interested in undergraduate research at UK?

"I saw a description of my REU program in a College of Education email and thought it sounded really interesting!"

How long have you been engaged in undergraduate research?

"Since August 2022"

What has been the most exciting aspect of your research so far?

"I love learning things through my research that I will be able to directly apply to my own classroom in the future."

What advice would you give to other UK students thinking about doing research?

"Don't be afraid to reach out to your college if you're interested, because it's likely that a faculty member will share your research interest and want to work with you!"
