“Entering the CURE program will let me have hands-on experience needed for a MD/PhD program and help me achieve this goal by developing essential skill sets needed to do neuroscience/biomedical research.”

Why is research important?

“Research is essential for expanding our current knowledge base and improving our understanding of the world. It also drives innovation. Research helps solve problems and provides data for informed decisions.”

What advice would you give to other UK students thinking about doing research?

“Find a subject area that interests you and look for Professors who are doing research in that area and don't be afraid to cold email and ask if you can join their lab.”
