5 Lewis Honors Students Receive Top Honors Undergraduate Researchers in the News

Earlier this month, the University of Kentucky Lewis Honors College held its Spring 2021 Medal Ceremony in two physically distant ceremonies in the Gatton Student Center. As is tradition, all of the Lewis Honors College graduation awards were announced at the ceremony.

UK Libraries have named freshmen Isha Chauhan and Haley Shaver recipients of this year's Dean's Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Scholarship.

University of Kentucky Libraries is proud to recognize Lewis Honors College freshman Isha Chauhan and dance freshman Haley Shaver with the 2021 Dean’s Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Scholarship. This award recognizes exceptional, original scholarship and excellent research conducted by UK undergraduates making substantive use of UK Libraries’ collections, services and resources.

As part of the program, Santillan-Jimenez will complete a project at the University of Burgundy Franche-Comté in France.

The U.S. Department of State and the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board have named Eduardo Santillan-Jimenez at the University of Kentucky Center for Applied Energy Research (CAER) a recipient of the Fulbright Specialist Program award.

The University of Kentucky Office of Undergraduate Research recently awarded four faculty members for their exemplary commitment to undergraduate research mentoring. The Excellent Undergraduate Research Mentor Awards were presented during the 15th Showcase of Undergraduate Scholars on April 27.
