I enjoy research because.... "it constantly challenges me to create new knowledge and to approach information in new ways."

How did you first get interested in undergraduate research at UK?

"I knew a few people that had participated in undergraduate research and loved it. Specifically, I had a friend who was a member of the internship that I have now, and she told me about the opportunity to work with archives. I knew it was something I wanted to be a part of!"

How long have you been engaged in undergraduate research?

"Since the beginning of my junior year"

What has been the most exciting aspect of your research so far?

"Working with an archival collection that has so many primary materials in it."

What advice would you give to other UK students thinking about doing research?

"Find a topic that sparks your interest and reach out to anyone that could help you!"
