How did you first get interested in undergraduate research at UK?

"My mentor, Dr. Carlos Rodriguez Lopez, gave me an introductory lecture in one of my major courses. From here, I reached out to him and ever since have been doing research in his lab."

 

How long have you been engaged in undergraduate research?

"January 2021"

 

What has been the most exciting aspect of your research so far?

"Research has allowed me to study abroad, communicate my science to others, and work with practiced scientists."

 

What advice would you give to other UK students thinking about doing research?

"Do not be afraid to get involved! Research opens up so many doors and opportunities."
