I enjoy research because.... "you’re able to dive into a specific topic of your choosing. You’re exploring a topic and gathering information that can be so valuable to advancing that area which is super cool to me!"

How did you first get interested in undergraduate research at UK?

"I first got involved in researching by adding an undergraduate certificate that is offered in my college (Health Sciences). I just thought it would be something cool to branch out into."

How long have you been engaged in undergraduate research?

"I have been engaged in research for only 1 semester."

What has been the most exciting aspect of your research so far?

"I just love learning, so learning about different methods for qualitative studies and ways to go about gathering data has been really awesome!"

What advice would you give to other UK students thinking about doing research?

"DO IT. I personally never thought I would get involved in research because I do not have a strong math/science background, but there is something for you! I love the more social/behavioral stuff and was not aware of qualitative research. I definitely say to just find an opportunity or talk to someone that can help find an opportunity for you to get involved!"
