Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium
Please join the UK Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) on Tuesday, August 31 as we highlight summer research and creative work at the 3rd annual Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium. The Symposium will be held in the Gatton Student Center Ballroom C from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm.
The Summer Research Symposium is an informal, interactive presentation opportunity that allows students to present their summer research or creative works in a small group setting via a 5-minute "elevator pitch" or lightning talk. The Symposium cultivates students’ presentation and research communication skills and challenges them to describe their research within five minutes. This is a terrific opportunity for UK’s undergraduate students to learn these critical communication skills and represent the diversity of scholarly work at UK.
No research posters or slides will be needed. Each small group is hosted by a faculty mentor. This has historically been a favorite among our students and we hope you will attend!
Food, fun, and door prizes.
