I enjoy research because.... "It pushes me to solve problems and implement the classroom into real life."

How did you first get interested in undergraduate research at UK?

"I was first introduced to undergraduate research in a SEAM 190 class presentation. I introduced myself to one of the guest speakers and I began to conduct research."

How long have you been engaged in undergraduate research?

"3 months."

What has been the most exciting aspect of your research so far?

"Working with different materials. Working with these helps learn and implement chemistry to a more accelerated level."

What advice would you give to other UK students thinking about doing research?

"Do it! Research is not for everyone, but it gives you a chance to develop the necessary skills to not only be a valuable candidate for scholarships, job applications, etc. but also a irreplaceable team member."
