Research Project Title

"An Ethical Dilemma: Developing a New Teaching Model for Culturally-Aware Ethics in Medical Schools"

Brief Project Description

"My project analyzes current medical ethics coursework in undergraduate medical school education and its inclusion of culturally-sensitive and -specific teaching. Future plans are to develop an educational model that focuses on modernizing the teaching of medical ethics by incorporating DEI into the curriculum."

I enjoy research because... "it brings the real world into the classroom."

What excites you most about attending World CUR?

"I’m excited to meet other students from around the world and see the areas of research they are pursuing!"

What has been the most interesting aspect of your research experience so far?

"I have benefited from being in a cohort of fellow interns that are directing their own research projects. So, I get to hear about other peoples’ unique research, give feedback, and also receive feedback on my own research. We all have such different topics but are working together to produce our best work possible."

How has undergraduate research impacted your college experience?

"Undergraduate Research has challenged me to think about the world outside of the one I am in now. Real-world problems with real-world solutions: it’s what makes research a unique college experience."
