I enjoy research because.... "it helps me better understand my experiences within the larger society and use this information to advocate for change."

How did you first get interested in undergraduate research at UK?

"I first started when I became a Chellgren Student Fellow my sophomore year, and since then, I have refined my research interests and had the opportunity to pursue advanced level research programs at different universities."

How long have you been engaged in undergraduate research?

"1 1/2 years"

What has been the most exciting aspect of your research so far?

"Being able to connect with people who are just as passionate as myself all over the country and worldwide."

What advice would you give to other UK students thinking about doing research?

"It’s never too early, and it’s okay if you don’t know anything. If you know about research, great, and if you don’t, that’s exactly where you should be."
