How will this summer research fellowship support your research efforts?
“This summer research fellowship allows me to grow my knowledge and understanding of research in ways that I never thought would be possible as an undergraduate.’
Why is research important?
“Research is important because it allows us to grow our understanding about how and why things occur. By doing this, we are able to better ourselves and our communities for the future.”
What advice would you give to other UK students thinking about doing research?
“The biggest piece of advice I would give other students that are thinking about doing research is to get out of your comfort zone and just try it. As someone from a rural community, I never imagined myself being able to have opportunities like this. Even if you think you are not capable, you are. By applying myself and getting out of my comfort zone, I have been awarded many opportunities within the research realm. Without that, I would not be where I am today.”
