I enjoy research because.... "It’s interesting to learn new things about the world."

How did you first get interested in undergraduate research at UK?

"I heard that UK had recently acquired a collection of Russian language materials and my professor was looking for students to help organize these materials and conduct research on them."

How long have you been engaged in undergraduate research?

"I received a SURF grant last summer and did research then."

What has been the most exciting aspect of your research so far?

"Getting to work with interesting archival materials."

What advice would you give to other UK students thinking about doing research?

"Just go for it! It’s not as scary as it might at first seem."
