I enjoy research because.... "I get to explore questions without answers and share my findings with the community while working to address global issues."

How did you first get interested in undergraduate research at UK?

"My organic chemistry professor, Prof. Susan Odom, offered me a position in her lab after spending many hours answering my endless questions in her office hours."

How long have you been engaged in undergraduate research?

"I have continually engaged in undergraduate research since May 2019, albeit with different advisors."

What has been the most exciting aspect of your research so far?

"Working on diverse teams, both in discipline and culture, and mentoring students are the most exciting aspects of my research."

What advice would you give to other UK students thinking about doing research?

"It’s a wonderful way to grow personally and professionally. Try it out, the worst you could do is fail. "
