I enjoy research because.... "it's exciting to contribute to new research and know you're doing something important. Conducting my own research has taught me so much, and it's great experience for the future."

 

How did you first get interested in undergraduate research at UK?

"I joined Dr. Sidney's Cognition and Development Lab as a sophomore, and it inspired me to go for more research opportunities."

 

How long have you been engaged in undergraduate research?

"Since January 2021"

 

What has been the most exciting aspect of your research so far?

"Working with an archival collection that has been previously untouched is an exciting experience in itself, and doing original research is a never ending rollercoaster."

 

What advice would you give to other UK students thinking about doing research?

"Go for it! Research isn't as intimidating as it may seem, and it's a great way to make connections. I have loved all of my time in research at UK."
