How will this summer research fellowship support your research efforts?

“This research project is my first original study. Since I will be navigating this for the first time, I believe that participating in this fellowship will provide me with an opportunity to develop a wealth of skills surrounding the process of developing effective ways to explore a research question. I hope to utilize these skills in my future research career.”

Why is research important?

“Research provides an avenue to better understand the world around us. It helps us provide answers to questions or, in some cases, uncover more questions!”

What advice would you give to other UK students thinking about doing research?

“I would encourage students who are interested to involve themselves in laboratory work as soon as they can. Reaching out to a research mentor whose work interests you is a great start!”
