"Examining the interactive effects of chronic pain and posttraumatic stress disorder symptoms on alcohol use disorder among individuals with opioid use disorder."
"My goal in this study is to examine 1) whether PTSD symptoms are positively correlated with problem alcohol use among nonmedical prescription opioid users with OUD and 2) PTSD symptoms are more strongly linked to problem alcohol use among individuals high in chronic pain. If we can better understand the factors perpetuating problem alcohol use among this population, we can then study ways in which we can limit the harmful effects of these combined substance use disorders."
