"To determine if voluntary intermittent sacc/EtOH exposure during adolescence, combined with the social isolation stress, increases adult EtOH drinking. With a follow-up experiment to determine whether saccharin alone in adolescence will produce an effect similar to sacc/EtOH in adolescence."

A. "My advisor had recommended getting into research in preparation for school after undergrad. Also, I had always been interested and curious on what goes on behind the scenes in scientific research and wanted to find out."

Q. What has been the most exciting aspect of your research experience so far?

A. "Learning new skills, being confident in research procedures, and the friends that I have made with the same career goals!"

Q. How has undergraduate research impacted your college experience at the University of Kentucky?

A. "Undergraduate research here at UK has helped me narrow down and choose a career path that I will pursue after undergrad."

Q. What advice would you give to UK students who are considering starting research?

A. "Start early! The sooner you can get into research the better, its a great way to learn new things and get a greater/real world understanding of what you learn in classes."
