I enjoy research because.... "it challenges me to push myself and what I think I'm capable of, and I get to explore the details of the world around me."

How did you first get interested in undergraduate research at UK?

"I knew that I wanted to develop a deep understanding of physics, and I thought that doing research would be my best bet at doing just that."

How long have you been engaged in undergraduate research?

"I've been engaged in undergraduate research since October 2020."

What has been the most exciting aspect of your research so far?

"Collaborating with professors and students from UK and other universities has been particularly exciting, and something I didn't expect to enjoy as much as I do. I also love the thrill of understanding a new topic or getting a program to work."

What advice would you give to other UK students thinking about doing research?

"A lot of professors are really passionate about what they're doing and will be willing to talk with you about it, or at the very least point you in the right direction, so don't hesitate to reach out to them!"
